I first tasted Nomnomnom's holopainen special when I went home to the Philippines a few months ago and immediately fell in love with it. Since I don't eat anything from the onion family, I just asked them to cook it without onion and they kindly did so. However, it was too yummy to live without, so as soon as I got home to Japan, I did my best to replicate their pasta. It sure was as delicious as theirs!
"It's the best pasta I've ever had and this is now my new favorite," according to my husband.

A vegetarian for 12 years and a kitchen warrior since I moved in to Japan, my favorite battle has been winning over my husband's interestingly complicated taste buds.
